Artist Statement
Photography is my personal outlet for sharing the beauty of our world. My favorite photos have a story of life, love, or the crazy situations I find myself in when photographing wildlife. I took this photo of our kitten, Luna, after watching her playing with her shadow. I found myself lying flat on the kitchen floor laughing so hard I was crying after taking several photos of her flying through the air.
Luna rescued me on April 1, 2020. She had been hit by a car and was lying in the middle of the road when I found her. Since then, she has brought great joy into our home, despite the pandemic. This photo, taken on April 14, demonstrates this joy. She found great delight in chasing her shadow across the kitchen floor.
