To the right of the rocket, traffic lights at an intersection show green and red. Below the rocket, beams of red and white light create horizontal streaks across the foreground, and the headlights from cars create starbursts of light.

Artist Statement
After setting up my camera and tripod to get some photographs of this amazing spectacle, a little girl came up to me who had never seen a camera like mine and wanted to help. I let her press the shutter release button on my remote...she must have pressed that button about 20 times! We had a great time capturing the moment together.
This is a full scale Saturn V rocket projected onto the Washington Monument in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing.
